Yeah... the odd/unfortuante/whatever thing is, he is the second person I knew
more online than in real life to have died in the last year... the other
person was a girl from IRC (and IRC Operator) whi went by 'crush' (Janet
Pippen)... I had only met her in real life a couple times at things like
NANOG or some irc gathering... but it was still a shock to me, and to all the
IRC Operators that knew her, whether or not they had actually met her, in
person.
I had met Bevan a few times while in SD, and then we went to lunch once up
here in the Bay Area ... I don't think I'll ever forget him, since I bought
one of those Linux "/etc/shadow" T-shirts from him...
bleh
hard to get over stuff like this... :-(
