wierd cd-ness

much wierdness

i got a 2 cd set from open linux for redhat 5.2 ($3)
one is a binary install disk, one contains 400M of source SRPMS

the binary copies fine, but the source one (doing a disk to disk) failed
twice, both at around 15% using cdrwin (error was write failed on [bunch of
hex numbers])

Now, i did this with 2 different brands of media. then i decided to make a
disk image, and write that to a cd in test mode, and it failed at about the
same spot. i've never experienced this before.  Any ideas?
